POST: OPENING FOR SAFETY OFFICER
LOCATION: GOA
Experience – 2 to 4 Years.
Job Profile :
- Zero reportable Accidents and 100% accident reporting.
- Looking after statutory and compliance of plant.
- Spreading awareness on environmental health and safety.
- To advise on safety aspects in all job studies, and to carry out hazard Identification and Risk Assessment of selected jobs.
- To provide advice on the matters related to carrying out plant safety inspections.
- To conduct safety audits of all departments and advice to reduce the hazards present in the area.
- To promote the setting up of safety committees and to act as adviser and catalyst to such committees.
- To investigate the accidents, incidents and near-miss taking in the plant and avoid re-occurrence.
- To ensure the safe working of maintenance work within the plant and follow the permit system.
- To provide training to the people about their role and responsibilities in an emergency situation and conduct mock drills regularly.
- To maintain the fire hydrant system, fire extinguishers and safety equipment as per the standards and proper working conditions and maintain the records.
- To provide training to all employees related to environment, health and safety and to maintain the records.
- To provide training for officers and supervisors on their responsibilities in promoting safety and safety matters relating to their departments.
- To set up procedures for the safety of contractors' workers and work done by them and confirm its implementation.
- To carry out a plant safety inspection in order to observe the physical conditions of work and the work practices and procedures followed by workers and to render advice on measures to be adopted for removing the unsafe physical conditions and preventing unsafe actions by workers.
